Ayami Inomata

Artist introduction

My interest in making kaleidoscopes was sparked when I visited the Sendai Kaleidoscope Museum and was moved by the colorful world of kaleidoscopes.

When I imagined "the kaleidoscope I would make," I recalled enjoying bead crafts using fishing line and wire as a child, and decided I wanted to make kaleidoscopes using beads. So I learned bead-stitching techniques.

Not only the decorations of the kaleidoscope, but also all the objects that form the images are made from beads.
