Kiry (Kyoko and Toru Kiribayashi)
Artist introduction
We were captivated by a world we had never seen before when we first looked into a kaleidoscope on the Big Island of Hawaii. From that experience, we came to appreciate the beauty of contemporary kaleidoscopes and began creating our own.
Today, we explore new possibilities by combining materials such as acrylic, glass, and resin. In our larger works, we highlight the unique qualities of acrylic, pursuing a simple yet futuristic aesthetic.
We hope you enjoy the contrast between the simple exterior and the vivid world within.
