Artist: Mizue Kato
An eye-catching stained-glass kaleidoscope featuring a toucan perched in a tree.
This kaleidoscope was created especially for “KaleiZoo: A Zoo of Kaleidoscopes,” an exhibition held at our museum in 2018.
The carefully finished solder work reflects the artist’s attention to detail, developed over many years of working with stained glass.
The green version has a chic exterior, with a light blue toucan standing out against deep green glass. Look inside to discover beautiful patterns in shades of green and purple.
The white version pairs shimmering white glass with a light blue toucan for a fresh, airy look. Inside, a vibrant world of pink-toned patterns unfolds.
Both versions are filled with clear, luminous glass pieces, whose sparkle adds to their charm.
With its stable, freestanding design, this parlor-style kaleidoscope is lovely to display in your home as well as to look through.
