This wand kaleidoscope is an original design by our museum.
It is designed to be viewed by holding the oil-filled tube upright and watching the sand flow down like an hourglass. Tiny grains of color and colorful sequins shimmer as they move, creating delicate, firework-like imagery.
You can enjoy the flowing visuals inside the tube without rotating the body, and the speed of the flow changes depending on the angle at which you tilt it.
Two color variations are available:
a black body with a purple tube, and a white body with a green tube.
