An original kaleidoscope from the Sendai Kaleidoscope Museum.
This limited edition of 500 pieces was produced in collaboration with popular American artists Luc & Sallie Durette.
This is a dry-type kaleidoscope with a cherry blossom motif.
You can see a lovely pattern reminiscent of cherry blossom petals and leaves.
There is a film attached to the eyehole, so the image inside changes color from pink to purple depending on the angle you look at it from.
If you shine light into the white part at the tip, the image will be even more beautiful.
Durette has created many oil-based works with shiny, glittering objects, but this is a very unusual piece as it is a dry-type object with a transparent feel.
Even if you're not a Durette fan, this is a must-have item.
Engraved with artist's name, production year, and serial number.
Please note that you cannot choose the number.
